We would love to be able to tell you, as we sit and write this on a cold wet winter day, that summer 2024 is going to be a long sunny one. If we could predict the weather that far ahead, it would be great for business. When the sun shines, people buy garden furniture!
Unfortunately, weather patterns are incredibly complex, and influenced by numerous factors, so making long-term predictions is pretty much impossible. All we can do here at Lazy Susan HQ is keep everything crossed, and hope the UK see lots of sunshine (and very little rain) this year.
One thing that we can be more certain of is the reasons why you should buy cast aluminium garden furniture for summer 2024. We know the weather is unpredictable and we know the UK can see all 4-seasons in one day. For that, you need a material that is best suited to all conditions. An all-rounder!
And cast aluminium is most definitely a great all-rounder. A logical choice for the erratic UK climate. It is rust-resistant, weatherproof, durable, lightweight, and versatile, which all adds up to giving you pieces that can sit on your patio come rain or shine, are long-lasting, and are a low-maintenance choice for the more discerning homeowner who values quality time on their patio.
Aluminium is a material that is naturally resistant to rust, which is a major concern in the UK's often damp climate. This means that cast aluminium furniture will not succumb to corrosion and will maintain its appearance for many summers to come with no need for the reapplication of any protective coatings.
The permanent powder-coated finish we apply to our range further enhances its resistance to the elements and daily use, protecting the metal from the sun, rain, snow, cutlery, tableware, tree sap, bird poo, and anything else we or Mother Nature might throw at it.
Cast aluminium can be left outdoors all year round without the need for any special care or maintenance. It is a strong and durable material that can withstand the heavy wear and tear of outdoor use, without warping or cracking, even in extreme weather conditions.
Yet, despite that strength, it is relatively lightweight, making it easy to move around your garden. This is of particular advantage in the UK, where our patios and gardens are generally smaller and more compact, giving us the flexibility to move in and out of the shade or to a safe spot in the off-season.
The casting process we use allows us to mould the aluminium into a wide variety of shapes and styles, making it a versatile material for creating both contemporary and classically styled pieces. The production process when combined with our high-grade aluminium produces a metal that is smooth and even.
We also hand-finish all our cast parts to ensure that there are no bubbles or imperfections and the paint we apply is what protects the metal from the elements and gives it its aesthetic appeal.
If left raw and unpainted, cast aluminium would pit and develop a white chalky layer. This is not corrosion or rust but a layer of oxidisation that actually prevents it from rusting. It just doesn’t look very nice so a painted finish prevents this.
When buying cast aluminium, you need to look for a finish that is smooth, even, and free of scratches or blemishes. Powder-coating (like we apply) is the most popular and durable finish for cast aluminium furniture as it gives a lovely texture and even finish.
If the furniture has any welded joints, check for clean, smooth welds that are free of porosity or cracks. These welds should be strong and secure, and they should not affect the overall appearance of the furniture.
Most of our garden tables and chairs are supplied Ready-To-Assemble (RTA) so legs, etc are bolted into place. This makes the pieces easier to ship but provides a much stronger fix than welding
Good quality cast aluminium garden furniture should be sturdy and stable, with no wobbling or loose components. Chairs should have well-proportioned legs and a stable base, while tables should have a broad, stable top with recessed table legs so chairs can be pulled in with plenty of legroom.
We would also advise that you choose pieces in a classical design that won’t go out of style, are well-proportioned to the space you plan to put them, and have curved edges and ergonomic lines.
Warranty and customer service are also critical and before you buy do a little research to ensure you’re purchasing from a reputable manufacturer that offers a warranty and good customer service. This will ensure that you have recourse if there are any problems with the furniture.
Look at independent reviews on sites such as Trustpilot to see feedback from previous customers and please read our How to safely shop online for new outdoor tables and chairs article for our 12 key steps to help protect you when shopping online for new garden furniture.
In this article, we want to focus on the key buying or shopping criteria of durability, weight, levels of maintenance, styling, versatility, weather resistance, and environmental impact to establish why we think you should buy cast aluminium garden furniture if you’re in the market for new this summer...
1. Cast aluminium is durable
Cast aluminium is a type of metal furniture material that is made by pouring molten aluminium into moulds known as casts. Our History of metal garden furniture article looks in detail at the fascinating backstory while our How It Is Made page looks at the traditional process we use to make furniture fit for modern gardens.
Cast aluminium is synonymous with durability and its resistance to rust and corrosion. Unlike cast iron, it does not rust, making it a great option for outdoor use in the UK. It can withstand various weather conditions, including rain, snow and sun, without deteriorating or fading.
Durability is defined as the ability to withstand wear, pressure, or damage. Our cast aluminium furniture is designed to be weather-resistant, lightweight, low-maintenance, sturdy and strong and the high-grade aluminium and robust casting process we utilise in our factory allows us to create pieces of outdoor furniture that are beautiful, intricate, and decorative.
Cast aluminium is resistant to rust and corrosion, making it well-suited for our gardens and patios. It won't deteriorate or degrade as quickly as other metals or materials such as rattan or wood, and as we state in our How to maintain aluminium patio furniture post:
“It is commonly known that aluminium doesn't rust like cast iron. However, there is a little science behind raw cast aluminium patio furniture (and by raw I mean unpainted or not powder coated). When exposed to the elements, aluminium will develop a microscopic layer of oxide on its exterior. This oxide layer acts as a barrier to protect the metal from further damage by said elements and prevent it from corroding as iron pieces would. These unique qualities are what's most appealing when it comes to choosing a material for making outdoor garden furniture. It will weather any climate and any amount of precipitation.”
We go on to say that:
"Much of the cast aluminium furniture sold in the UK (such as the Lazy Susan range) also comes with a powder-coated or painted protect finish. This gives our painted cast aluminium pieces their unique colour and helps to prevent the surface from the pitting I mentioned above. It also helps to protect the metal underneath from the elements. Powder coating and painting increase the visual appeal as well as giving the metal additional strength, however, they do still require a little extra TLC to maintain the original appearance.”
Compared to cast iron, cast aluminium is much lighter, making it easier to move around. This can be advantageous when you want to rearrange your outdoor furniture, store it during bad weather, or just keep it clean. It also requires very little maintenance compared to other materials and a regular clean with washing up liquid and warm water is generally sufficient to keep it in good condition.
While it is lightweight, we should stress that it is still sturdy and strong. It can withstand typical use and is highly resistant to dents and dings. If you do find a chip or scratch then it is easy to repair and our How to touch up paint chips and scratches on metal garden furniture article has all the info you need
Despite its durability, it is important to note that the longevity of cast aluminium very much depends on factors such as the quality of the manufacturing, the type of finish applied, and how well it is cared for. Anything left outside will over time get dirty. So it pays to be proactive. Keep it clean, cover it when not in use, etc.
If you are considering purchasing cast aluminium garden furniture this summer, then as we have already mentioned it pays to do a little research to check it is the right material for you and how you like to use your garden. Read our product reviews, look at our customer photos, check the warranty, and follow our assembly instructions and care instructions to ensure it lasts for many summers to come.
2. Cast aluminium is lightweight
While cast aluminium garden furniture is sturdy, as we pointed out in the last section, it is also relatively lightweight compared to wood or other metals like steel and iron. This makes it easier to pick up, move around and rearrange your outdoor space as needed. That said it is not so light like resin or rattan pieces that it will easily blow over in a breeze.
Whether the lighter weight nature of cast aluminium is considered an advantage or disadvantage very much depends on your specific needs and the type of outdoor space you have. However, for us, the pros generally tend to outweigh the cons:
-
Portability
The lightweight nature of cast aluminium makes it easier to pick up, move and rearrange. This can be beneficial if you like to change the layout of your patio or if you need to store the furniture during bad weather. -
Handling
Transporting is made much easier when the parts are lightweight. Whilst this is more of an advantage to us, it is helpful if you need to move house. -
Assembly
Lightweight Ready-To-Assemble (RTA) furniture is much easier to build, especially if you are doing it yourself. It requires less effort and you do not need specialist equipment to get set up.
On the flip side though, you could argue that you need to consider the following:
-
Stability
Some people prefer heavier furniture for outdoor use, as it can provide increased stability, especially in windy conditions. However, our aluminium furniture provides a good balance of easy to pick up but not so light it will easily blow over. -
Perceived Quality
Many people associate heavier materials with higher quality but if you are looking for furniture that feels substantial and robust but can be moved, then aluminium is a great choice. -
Durability
Some also associate the weight of a material with its durability but what aluminium lacks in weight compared to iron, it is still a metal, and one that is robust and better suited to the UK climate.
Ultimately, whether the lightweight nature of cast aluminium is considered an advantage or a drawback depends on your specific needs, preferences, and the conditions you have in your outdoor space.
If you prioritise portability and ease of handling, then lightweight cast aluminium is a great choice. However, if you value weight and a perceived sense of sturdiness, then you might prefer a heavier material such as iron.
3. Cast aluminium is low-maintenance
Where cast aluminium wins hands down against all other materials is the level of maintenance. No material is maintenance-free, however, unlike wood or other metals such as iron, it does not need regular painting, staining or sealing to keep it protected from the elements. A simple wash with warm soapy water is usually sufficient to keep it looking good. Worst case you could chip or scratch the painted finish but that too is an easy touch-up.
The fact that cast aluminium is a low-maintenance outdoor furniture material is advantageous for several reasons:
-
Time
Cast aluminium requires minimal upkeep to keep it looking like new and ready to use. This means you spend less time on cleaning and maintenance, allowing more time to enjoy your outdoor furniture without the burden of an extensive care routine to keep it weather-resistant. -
Cost
Low maintenance also means you don't need to invest in any specialist cleaning products or apply/reapply any expensive protective finishes. You won't incur additional expenses associated with keeping the furniture in good condition. -
Durability
The D-word again. Low-maintenance materials are often chosen for their durability. Cast aluminium is resistant to rust and corrosion, and is designed to withstand exposure to the elements. The furniture is less likely to deteriorate over time, therefore the need for frequent repairs or replacements is significantly reduced. -
Convenience
Furniture that is easy to clean and maintain is convenient for users. It is particularly beneficial to those with busy lifestyles who may not have the time or inclination for extensive maintenance routines. Sunshine in the UK can be hear today and gone tomorrow, so furniture that is ready to use is essential. -
Lifespan
Proper care and maintenance are ultimately what will contribute to the longevity of all outdoor furniture materials. With a low-maintenance metal like cast aluminium, you can be confident that your furniture will last even longer, providing good value for your investment. Keep it clean, covered and protected and there is no reason why it can’t last you a lifetime.
It's important to stress that low maintenance does not mean no maintenance. Anything left outside and exposed to the elements will get dirty and deteriorate over time.
While cast aluminium garden furniture is relatively easy to care for, it is still advisable to follow some simple care and maintenance, such as regular cleaning with a little soapy water, to ensure longevity and maintain the appearance of the furniture. Our How to clean your outdoor furniture article has all the advice you need.
4. Cast aluminium is stylish
Cast aluminium garden furniture is available in a range of styles from minimal contemporary pieces with clean lines to timeless classical designs with intricate ornate detailwork.
One of the big advantages of the casting process is that we can mimic the look of wrought iron but with a lighter material, requires less maintenance, is more affordable, and is better suited to gardens in the UK.
It allows us to create intricate patterns and shapes such as our trademark latticework, and offer classically elegant pieces of outdoor furniture that won’t go out of style.
As a material it is malleable, making it possible to create intricate patterns and decorative elements, and we chose it as the core material in our range for the following reasons:
-
Versatility
Cast aluminium outdoor furniture is available in a variety of styles, from traditional to modern, allowing you to choose pieces or sets that complement your taste and the overall design of your home and garden. -
Elegance
The finish on cast aluminium furniture gives it an elegant and sophisticated look. Common finishes include powder coating, which not only enhances the look and feel but also provides protection from the elements. -
Finishing
Cast aluminium furniture is also available in a range of colours and finishes, providing flexibility in coordinating with your home and garden colour scheme or other outdoor elements. Our collection is available in our classic black with antique bronze, a cool slate grey, and our elegant white painted finishes. -
Timeless
Many cast aluminium designs, such as the classic metalwork found in our collection, have a timeless quality that can endure changing trends. This can be particularly advantageous if you want your outdoor furniture to maintain its stylish appearance for many years to come. -
Lightweight
The lightweight nature of cast aluminium makes it easy to pick up, move and rearrange, thus allowing you to experiment with different layouts and configurations in your garden or to move in or out of the sun when hosting.
Before making a purchase, consider the specific style and design features you prefer, and ensure that the material and finish you choose align with your overall vision for your garden.
Additionally, it's advisable to read product reviews, check the warranty, and consider factors such as comfort and functionality to ensure that the furniture meets both your aesthetic and practical requirements.
If you are interested in a cast aluminium garden furniture set from our collection, then our advice is to order a free sample kit, read our customer reviews and take a look at our customer photos to see the quality and get a feel for what our furniture could look like in your garden.
5. Cast aluminium is designed to last
Due to cast aluminium's resistance to rust and corrosion, it is perfectly suited to the often rainy UK climate, giving it a longer lifespan compared to other materials, and making it a cost-effective investment in the long run.
It is designed to be left on your patio with minimal maintenance and in all weather conditions except high winds (over 30 mph) where if your garden is open caution is advised:
-
Weather Resistant
With cast aluminium's resistance to rust and corrosion, it is much better suited to the UK climate than other metals. This resistance allows it to withstand exposure to various weather conditions, including rain, sunlight, and high humidity. -
Powder Coated
The majority of the cast aluminium garden furniture on sale in the UK is coated with a powder-painted finish. Powder coating adds an extra layer of protection against the elements, enhances the furniture's appearance, and helps prevent it from scratching/chipping and fading. -
Durable
Cast aluminium is a sturdy metal that can withstand typical outdoor use and environmental stressors. It is less prone to cracking, warping, or splintering compared to many of the other materials used for outdoor furniture in the UK. -
Low Maintenance
The low-maintenance nature of cast aluminium that we have already mentioned contributes to its durability. Regular cleaning with a little soapy water is sufficient to keep it in good condition. No need to repaint or stain as the painted finish is designed to last and protect it. -
Cost Effective
When properly cared for, cast aluminium furniture will have a long lifespan, making it a cost-effective and durable choice for outdoor settings. The low-maintenance and weather resistance means it might cost a little more than other materials but it will need less spent on it to keep it looking like new and will not need replacing as quickly.
Despite the fact it is perfectly suited to the UK climate and designed to last, it is still important to note that the longevity of cast aluminium furniture is influenced by factors such as the quality of the manufacturing, the type of finish applied, and the specific environmental conditions in your garden.
To ensure the best performance and longevity of our range, follow our basic care instructions and consider stacking in a sleeted part of the garden, covering or storing the furniture during extreme weather conditions (such as high winds) if possible.
6. Cast aluminium is versatile
Cast aluminium garden furniture comes in a variety of different styles and finishes, allowing you to find the perfect pieces or sets to fit your taste, home and garden design.
Whether you prefer a modern, contemporary, or traditional look, there are options available, and that versatility is what makes it the best-selling material in the UK, and here’s why:
-
Style
Cast aluminium outdoor furniture comes in a wide range of styles and types. This versatility allows you to find pieces or sets that suit your taste and complement the overall design of your home and outdoor space. If you prefer a modern or traditional style in a lounge or dining type set, then you will find the perfect furniture for your patio in cast aluminium. -
Design
The malleability of aluminium allows for the casting of intricate and detailed designs. This flexibility in design means you can find furniture with various patterns, textures, and decorative elements, enhancing the visual appeal of your patio. -
Colour
Cast aluminium furniture is also available in various colours and finishes. This diversity in colour options provides you with the flexibility to match the furniture to your existing patio/garden decor or create interesting contrasts. -
Adaptability
Whether you have a traditional garden, a contemporary deck, or a cosy balcony, cast aluminium furniture can adapt to different settings. Its versatility makes it suitable for a variety of outdoor spaces, allowing you to create a cohesive and stylish look. -
Mix-n-Match
Due to its ability to complement various styles, cast aluminium furniture can easily be mixed and matched with other outdoor materials, from timber to stone. This allows you to create a personalised outdoor living space that fits with how you love to spend time on your patio. -
Lightweight
The lightweight nature of cast aluminium makes it easy to pick up, move and rearrange. This feature is particularly advantageous if you like to change the layout of your patio, move in/out of the sun or store during the off-season or bad weather.
The versatility of cast aluminium patio furniture offers you a wide range of options to customise your outdoor space according to your preferences and the ever-evolving style of your home.
Whether you prefer a classic look such as you’ll find in our collection or a more minimal contemporary feel, our cast aluminium furniture range is a stylish choice that is perfectly suited to the styles found in our homes and gardens.
7. Cast aluminium is UV-resistant
Powder-coated cast aluminium garden furniture has a lower heat retention when compared to other metals like cast iron or steel.
However, it is important to stress that any outdoor furniture material that is left in direct sunlight for an extended period will become hot to the touch.
The bigger problem is not so much the heat resistance but their UV resistance. Plastics, resin/poly-rattans and timbers, for example, might not get as hot to the touch but they will fade if left exposed to the sun's rays.
The extent to which cast aluminium furniture gets hot depends on various factors, such as the colour of the powder coating, the intensity, duration in direct sunlight, and the ambient temperature in your garden.
For example, with our range, the darker black/bronze and slate-coloured sets tend to absorb a little more heat than our lighter-coloured white garden furniture sets.
However, it is easy to minimise heat absorption on all colours by pairing our garden chairs with cushions and placing a parasol over our garden tables to add shade and reduce direct sunlight exposure.
If you don’t want to pair with a parasol, then it is a good idea to place the furniture in shaded areas when possible or use other shading solutions such as trees, awnings, pergolas, etc
Here are some things of the things you need to consider regarding the temperature resistance of cast aluminium and how it compares to other materials:
-
Heat Resistance
Whilst cast aluminium can get hot to the touch in direct sunlight this is a good thing. It can withstand higher temperatures without cracking, warping or melting, making it suitable for use in areas with hot climates or where outdoor furniture may be exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods. -
Cold Resistance
Cast aluminium also performs extremely well in cold temperatures. It doesn't become brittle or prone to cracking in freezing conditions, making it a durable option if you have no place to store your outdoor furniture during the winter months. -
Thermal Conductivity
Cast aluminium also has good thermal conductivity, meaning it can efficiently transfer heat. While this can make the furniture warm to the touch in direct sunlight, it also means that it adjusts to ambient temperatures quickly.
That is cast aluminium but how does that compare to other popular garden furniture materials on sale in the UK:
-
Cast Iron
Much like cast aluminium, cast iron, is generally heat-resistant and can withstand high temperatures without significant damage. It too is a sturdy and durable metal that is often chosen for its ability to withstand various weather conditions, including heat. -
Rattan
While poly-rattan furniture is lightweight and generally weather-resistant, it does not have the same heat resistance as cast aluminium. The synthetic plastic weave can fade and become brittle over time when exposed to sunlight. -
Wood
Wooden garden furniture is generally not considered heat resistant in the way that materials like metal or certain plastics might be. It is a natural material and can be affected by high heat, which can lead to issues such as warping, cracking, or discolouration. Direct exposure to intense sunlight and high temperatures over a prolonged period can cause the wood to dry out and lose its natural oils, making it more susceptible to damage. -
Plastic
Plastic garden furniture is generally more heat-resistant than wood but less so than cast aluminium. However, it's important to note that not all plastics are created equal, and the heat resistance will vary depending on the type of plastic used. High-quality plastics, such as those made from polypropylene or high-density polyethylene (HDPE), are more durable and resistant to heat than other plastics, but they can still warp, crack, or fade under high temperatures.
As we have already mentioned, our cast aluminium furniture pieces are coated with a powder-coated finish. This coating not only enhances the appearance but also provides additional protection against temperature extremes, UV rays, and moisture.
It's important to note that whilst our cast aluminium garden furniture has good temperature resistance, the specific performance of other suppliers will depend on the quality of their manufacturing and the finish they apply.
8. Cast aluminium is environmentally friendly
We looked at the green credentials of our range in our Can garden furniture be recycled? article, and in it we stated that:
“Our collection is predominantly constructed from cast aluminium, which is 100% recyclable. It can be found not just in our garden furniture but in many other common items you’d find in your home and garden, from BBQ grills and cookware to car parts and components in household appliances. When these items are no longer functional, the aluminium can be easily recycled. It is an infinitely recyclable material, and according to Aluminium For Future Generations: It takes up to 95% less energy to recycle it than to produce primary aluminium, which also limits emissions, including greenhouse gases. Today, about 75% of all aluminium produced in history, nearly a billion tons, is still in use.”
Cast aluminium furniture is an environmentally friendly choice, and it has several advantages over other materials such as plastic resin and wood:
-
Recycling
It is highly recyclable, and the process of recycling aluminium requires significantly less energy compared to the production of new aluminium. This recyclability contributes to the overall sustainability of our furniture. -
Durability
As already stated, it is known for its durability and resistance to corrosion. Furniture made from durable materials will have a longer lifespan, reducing the need for frequent replacement and minimising waste. -
Low Maintenance
The low-maintenance nature of cast aluminium means that the furniture will require less care and fewer resources to maintain it over its lifetime. This reduces the need for chemical treatments and other maintenance-related activities. -
Painted Finish
Most cast aluminium furniture on sale in the UK is coated with a painted finish, which not only enhances the appearance but also provides high protection from the elements. The powder coating method we utilise is generally considered environmentally friendly compared to other coating methods. -
Energy Efficiency
The production of cast aluminium requires less energy compared to other metals and plastics. While the extraction and processing of raw aluminium does have an environmental impact, the recyclability of aluminium helps mitigate these concerns.
Cast aluminium patio furniture is a relatively environmentally friendly choice, especially when compared to other materials on sale in the UK.
However, if this is a concern, you must consider factors such as recyclability, durability, manufacturing processes, and transportation in the context of your sustainability preferences and values
How our cast aluminium garden furniture is made
In our popular reasons to purchase cast aluminium garden furniture article, we defined cast aluminium as:
“Cast aluminium is, in a nutshell, a metal alloy that's gone through one of the various processes known as casting. Essentially, it is created when molten aluminium is poured into a die-cast, mould or sand cast to temper the metal for use in creating the components that make up a piece of garden furniture.”
Cast aluminium patio furniture is made using a process, called casting, where molten aluminium is poured into a mould. This process produces the purest and most resilient form of aluminium, allowing for more intricate patterns and shapes.
As the casting of aluminium forms a solid piece of metal, the resulting product is heavier and arguably stronger than wrought and tubular aluminium, so it creates furniture that is better suited to the UK climate and how we like to use our gardens.
The most common alloy used in casting is aluminium-silicon, whereby silicon is added to ensure high-grade casting characteristics and to produce a metal that has a higher tensile strength. In other words, cast aluminium can withstand a higher degree of stress before breaking.
The result of this production process is a metal alloy that when melted has excellent fluidity, which means the liquid metal flows easily and evenly into the moulds, so you get little to no defects (we quality check every piece), excellent grain structure and a nice surface finish.
The designs in our collection are classic in look, and so is the traditional sand-casting process we use to build them. The basic manufacturing process of this ancient moulding method is as follows:
The process starts by creating wooden moulds or patterns, impressing them into the sand and then pouring the melted alloy to form the cast that is made.
Once set, the material is removed and the details are carved, creating the individual parts of our furniture such as the legs, tabletops, etc.
The sand casting process is repeated with these moulds and the parts are harvested.
Finally, they travel through each workshop being cleaned, polished, powder-coated and detailed.

We’ve touched on our garden cushions in a number of the product sections above but they will bring another level of comfort and style to your outdoor dining set.
Colourful, durable, water-resistant, and padded for extra comfort, our outdoor furniture cushions are perfectly proportioned to fit our range of garden chairs, loungers and benches.
Constructed from a fast-drying acrylic fabric, it is soft to the touch but robust enough to withstand the temperamental UK weather, including the occasional rain shower.
Featuring a removable water-resistant cover, they can be unzipped and popped in the washing machine at 30 degrees too.
Our garden furniture cushions are available in a range of complementary colours: stone, blue, terracotta, green and slate grey.
Parasols & Parasol Bases
Enjoy some all-important shade from the summer sun with our garden parasols and bases.
Available in a range of vibrant colours, our high-quality parasols are made from quick-drying, water-resistant, easy-care acrylic that will not only keep you safe from the rays of the sun but also keep your table dry if there is a sudden shower.
Designed to withstand the temperamental UK weather, our parasols feature durable fibreglass inner ribs to provide flexibility and strength if there’s a gust of wind.
Pair with one of our heavy cast iron parasol bases for an extra sturdy foundation. With an intricate lattice design, our parasol bases are available in a variety of finishes to perfectly coordinate with your garden table and chairs.
Lazy Susans
We love them so much that we named the company after them. A Lazy Susan is the perfect way to share food with family and friends.
Beautifully crafted from cast aluminium, our Lazy Susan turntables are the perfect garden table centrepiece and an excellent way of passing drinks, nibbles or condiments around our larger outdoor tables.
Perfect for entertaining, these cleverly designed table toppers are designed to sit on our 6, 8 or 10-seater garden tables. Simply place it at the centre of the table, turn it, and let the rotation of the server take the hassle out of sharing.
All of our Lazy Susan Turntables are crafted from our trademark weather-resistant aluminium, and they are built to withstand the elements.
Available in a large (90cm), medium (80cm), or small (60cm) diameter and in our antique bronze, slate or white finishes, our Lazy Susans are the perfect accessory for your garden table.
Garden Coffee & Side Tables
Our weatherproof outdoor side tables are a useful addition to your outdoor living space.
Whether you need a little extra tabletop space for side dishes and salads when hosting guests or a BBQ table to put cooking utensils on when grilling, we have a wide range of small cast aluminium side tables to suit your needs.
Depending on your space requirements, you can choose from our small round Ava (above) or a slightly larger square table such as Willow (above) or Sandra (below).
Crafted in our signature latticework style from our high-grade cast aluminium, our stylish side tables are sturdy yet light enough to be picked up and moved around with ease.
Rust-free and easy to maintain our side tables are perfect for positioning alongside our garden benches or a couple of garden chairs to create the perfect spot for morning coffee or afternoon tea.
Robust and practical, they are also available in our antique bronze, slate grey or white finishes, so you can match them to your existing Lazy Susan garden furniture.
Why buy cast aluminium garden furniture from Lazy Susan?
Cast aluminium is known for its durability and resistance to rust and corrosion. It is a material that can withstand wind, rain, snow and sun, making it the perfect garden furniture material for the unpredictable UK climate.
Cast aluminium furniture requires significantly less (both time and money) maintenance than other materials, as it doesn't need to be painted or treated regularly to keep it weather-resistant, and it can be easily cleaned with a little car shampoo or washing up liquid in warm water and a soft cloth or sponge.
Despite its robustness, cast aluminium is relatively lightweight compared to other metals like iron and steel. This makes it easy to pick up, move and rearrange your outdoor furniture as you need.
It has excellent resistance to the effects of weather, including rain and UV rays, ensuring that your furniture remains in good condition over time when left exposed.
Due to its durability and resistance to deterioration, it tends to have a longer lifespan compared to other outdoor materials, making it a sound investment.
